Saturday #1 morning being Single Parent Vince.

From somewhere HV and I got a cold.  I think he either picked it up from school, or he picked it up from me, while I picked mine up from the hardcore presenteeism folks on the GO train.  Anyways so Friday night I cough so hard I didn't sleep until at least 2am.

At least the kids got enough sleep, and they were nice enough to not wake up and cry during the early morning.  HT came to wake me up when the sun was up and shining.  He walked into my room and gently told me to wake up because it is "nine one eight lah!" (9:18am) ha ha ha.

Night #2 being Single Parent Vince.

Today at work was insane, but luckily I still was able to get out of the office on time to pick up HT.  He was relatively happy today, and when I first got there he was "cooking" with 3 girls in the Kindergarten class. [1] He had a hamburger, a piece of pineapple, and a broccoli and he wanted me to share his "dessert".. ha ha ha.

Miss Lam [2] showed me HT's art work today.  For the past two days he painted 2 cards (like birthday cars, fold in middle and when opened reveals a picture).  He also adorned the front of the "card" with the same design - white background, blue dot centered in the middle.  Wow.. he has developed a signature style at age 3! :-)

The two "cards" he drew from the past two days.  I should go ask Miss Lam whether HT had any suggestion about this blue-dot theme, or was this his on his own volition..

Night #1 being single parent Vince.

I picked up Horten at school at the usual 5:40pm.

When home, let him mill about in the family room while I cooked the vege for today.

Amongst the dishes that Tyatt had cooked for us she had this salty miami ribs. So I wanted to boil it in water to make a soup base for udon noodles. HT hadn't had noodles for a while.

Just as I finished cooking, grannies dropped off HV. So 3 of us sat down at the table, and while HT and I ate, I gave HV some udon for his 2nd dinner.  Both kids enjoyed the udon very much, and HT ate a lot more noodles than he would have rice, I think.

It really has been that long? And what happened after all this time? We got HT and HV now :)
